Summer is here, finally, my favorite season. With that comes the gardening, and all the fun activities like going to lakes, doing BBQ, or just enjoying the warm days.

Let’s take a look at the latest updates:

Travel

No major trips recently. We did go to Washington for a weekend trip to try to hike Mount Baker, but we were too early and the place was covered in snow, so we just gave up and decided to rest and relax at the Airbnb. We also went to a small cabin in Lindell Beach for the weekend, which was great, but that was all the travel this year.

Self-Improvement

I’ve been mostly listening to podcasts and reading a bit. The podcasts are the same most listened podcasts in 2024.

Health

Last year, I made a concerted effort to prioritize my health. It was my healthiest year yet, and I’m continuing with the same routine for now: running on Mondays, doing strength training at least four times a week, and watching my calories while prioritizing sleep and emotional well-being.

I did my second DEXA in mid-May, and I was happy to see I reduced 4% of body fat compared to the first DEXA exam.

Reading

I just finished The Culture Map and also the book Into Thin Air. I never read books related to travel or exploration, but this year I decided to try it out, and I am liking it.

On the professional side, I’m slowly working through Software Architecture: The Hard Parts.

Hobbies

As the season started, I started the garden again this year. I decided to plan some different things this year compared to the previous garden.

I have planted sunflowers, kale, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, basil, green onions, parsley, oregano, thyme, rosemary, mint, and flowers.

Professional

I haven’t been writing a lot about the professional posts. I have been busy, but not with generic things I can write about. I have been doing some research on AI and how to use it, but I don’t have anything worth writing about yet.

These are all the updates. See you soon!

Cheers!
